Kings Mountain International says it is a leading global manufacturer of textured stainless steel press plates for the laminating industry.

Sandvik Surface Solutions
Sandvik Surface Solutions says its new SteelArt 2011 collection contains many innovative textures.

This manufacturer of textured press plates and belts says it will show its latest surface textures for laminates, flooring products and the furniture industry. Sandvik Surface Solutions will also highlight the facilities available to customers at its Design Centre.

Sandvik says its 2011 SteelArt collection covers everything from natural wood and stone textures to smooth, graphic and all-over surfaces.

New developments include three nature-inspired surfaces – ‘Bamboo’, ‘Linear wood’ and ‘Synchro-wood’ – and an extraordinarily tactile, rough-cut surface, ‘Saw-cut’, which was one trend of this year’s furniture show IMM Cologne in January, either for furniture, kitchen fronts or flooring designs.

Sandvik Surface Solutions will also showcase the results of a partnership with innovative flooring company Välinge that has seen the look and feel of real slate stone replicated in a paper-free wood fibre floor (WFF).

Schattdecor
Headquartered in Thansau, Germany, but with printing works in several countries, Schattdecor says it will feature a new dimension in decors:

Santana Oak offers fine pores and attractive detailing in the form of tiny knots and elegant long cathedrals for a subtly rustic effect.

Wyoming Maple has a very fine fibrous texture and clearly delineated planking and offers straight-grain and figured sections in equal proportion. A whitened effect rounds off the look.

Armagnac Elm has subtle pores and densely-packed growth lines contributing to its mainly straight-grained look.

Sonoma Oak offers negative pores, square-cut saw marks and the cross-fires typical of oak.

Schattdecor will also display inkjet décor prints from its digitalVISIONS collection at the Piazza in Hall 6, while on a dedicated booth at the Innovation of Interiors section in Hall 4.2, it will show 30 of the digitalVISIONS decors “acclaimed by interior decorators and architectsat Düsseldorf's recent Euroshop show.

Sesa
Despite the global economic crisis, Sesa says it has demonstrated its persistence, confirming its high profile as a leader in press plate manufacturing. Since 2008, the graphic department has been enlarged, introducing specialised personnel and a new laboratory where master plates are realised. Sesa also created a showroom to welcome customers and show them the company’s technological and innovative potential. The production areas were also increased and all the production machinery completely renewed.

“These recent improvements represent a guarantee of quality, service and competitiveness of Sesa in the worldwide market,says the company.

“The attention paid to markets needs is confirmed by the development of our Indian plant, Sesa MSF, established in 2000 with the cooperation of the Kothari family for the reconditioning of smooth un-chromed moulds.

“After company restructuring and reorganisation, including the taking over by Sesa Spa of the majority share of the Indian subsidiary, Sesa MSF increased its strength on the market by also selling new plates.”

Süddekor
Süddekor says its entire 2D Group will present its decorative surface innovations at the Cologne fair.

Structured finishes on flooring and furniture surfaces will also form one of the focal points, with topics such as ‘embossed in register’ and real pores for finish foils and release papers.

Visitors will be treated to the trailblazing outcome of ‘Perfect Profile’ laser engraving, says the company.

The group – with its Süddekor Art division – will unveil its new decors printed using laser-engraved cylinders. “The result is completely revolutionary, high-definition decor images,it says.

The stand will be a blend of high-tech and natural: Lots of plant-green will create a symbiosis with digital imaging. The designers at Süddekor, with the two trend topics ‘stop’ and ‘go’, say they are maintaining the interaction between the emotional and the rational, while simultaneously reinventing it.

The company will also be taking the leap to the next, third dimension. This means that 2D will then become 3D, says Süddekor.
