Wilsonart subsidiary Arborite to acquire Lamin-Art
24 June 2016The US laminate producer Wilsonart is going to buy the commercial laminate supplier Lamin-Art Inc, based in Schaumburg, Illinois through its Canadian arm Arborite. The deal between Wilsonart and Lamin Art was signed on May 20.
The transaction was about to close before the end of May; Lamin-Art would subsequently be integrated into the Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces division.
Lamin-Art's current owner, Donald Krog, will leave the company when the deal closes. Kevin Geijer who has worked for Wilsonart since 2000 and last worked as regional manager for the Midwest, is to lead Lamin-Art as general manager in the future.
Lamin-Art has specialised in laminate development and marketing for commercial business with the Pearlescence, Premium Wood Prints, Veneer-Art and Abacá lines and the Burlap and Metal-Art collections that were launched in recent years.
