UPM’s Aureskoski further processing mill ceases operations

The Finnish mill, based in Parkano, employed 33 people and produced interior wood based panels.

UPM had originally flagged up its intention to close the mill in June as part of restructuring of its sawmilling and further processing operations and the renewal of its business strategy in Finland.

The company has started the 'From Job to Job' programme to alleviate the impact on staff who are affected by the closure decision.
