SundsZifter installed at IFI’s new MDF factory
8 May 2024A Sunds Fibretech SundsZifter was chosen by Indonesian Fibreboard Industries (IFI) for its new MDF factory which went live last year.
IFI has become a well-established player in the wood-based panels industry across Asia, since launching its first MDF/HDF production line 15 years ago.
IFI is known for high quality standards – but consistently delivering this quality presents challenges when working with demanding raw materials like rubberwood.
Processing up to 30 tons of fibre per hour, the Zifter at the new factory combines highest sifting efficiency with low operation costs.
The installed electrical power per ton of fibre capacity, as well as the sifting efficiency, has once again been optimized on the latest generation SundsZifter.
Additionally, it serves as an excellent retrofit option for older installations utilizing different sifting technology.
IFI production manager Pak Malik said the machine had solved a problem with latex spots on the boards that it had experienced in the past.
“We can now achieve a minimum of 96% A-Grade boards with very low electrical energy costs on the Zifter,” he said.
