Siempelkamp has recently received the order for a state-of-the-art OSB plant from Interspan, Hungary – a company of the Swiss Krono Group.

This will be the fourth OSB plant that Siempelkamp has sold to Krono Holding AG. The engineering of the plant took place in cooperation with Kronotec Luzern, Switzerland and the Belgium Siempelkamp subsidiary Sicoplan.

Next to the screening technology, resin application, and forming and press line with a 9ft x 28.8m ContiRoll press, the complete finishing line and the pneumatic and mechanical conveyors are part of Siempelkamp's scope of supply.

At the Vásárosnaményi location, Hungary, close to the Ukrainian border, the plant will produce 1,060m3 of OSB daily. The ContiRoll Generation 8 press will also allow the production of lightweight boards.

For the production of lightweight boards the active lifting of the upper hotplate with additional differential cylinders generates special pressure profiles in the direction of production as well as crosswise to the direction of production.

The press can be extended to 38.7m at a later time. Together with Siempelkamp's innovative mat preheater ContiBooster the plant capacity could thus be increased by almost 100% to 2,000m3 daily.
