A new licence agreement between Tricoya modified wood fibre maker Accsys Technologies and Irish panel maker Medite will see the latter produce an initial 30,000 tonnes of Tricoya a year, Accsys has confirmed.

Medite is currently buying Tricoya fibre from Accsys's Arnhem production plant to use in its Medite Tricoya Extreme Durable MDF panels.

In a new statement, Accsys says the agreement will enable Medite to produce an initial 42,000m3 of Medite Tricoya MDF panels using modified fibre it has produced at the planned plant in Clonmel.

It also says Medite has secured exclusive rights to market Tricoya MDF in Ireland, Holland and the UK, with non-exclusive rights to sell the finished product and the Tricoya fibre in other territories.
