IMA Schelling is taking over the specialist companies Carmet Automazioni and Blumenbecker Engineering System Technology to improve its offering to customers regarding automation, handling and transport solutions.

With the takeover of an Italian and a Polish specialist company, the IMA Schelling Group continues to strengthen the strategic goal of becoming the number one contact for automation solutions in the furniture industry.

Carmet Automazioni, from Treviso in northern Italy, has been developing, producing and selling technologies for industrial automation and handling for over 50 years. The company's offer, for example for cutting with a multi-rip saw, ideally complements the portfolio of IMA Schelling. The company will continue to operate under its established name and Carmet will also continue as a brand name.

Blumenbecker Engineering System Technology from Katowice, Poland, specialises in consulting, project planning, design, software development, system integration and switchgear construction. The company is firmly established as a leading expert in automation and robotics solutions in Poland and boasts a track record of product innovation.

With a partially identical customer base, it is seen as harmonising perfectly with IMA Schelling.

Blumenbecker Engineering System Technology with around 60 employees will remain an independent company and will operate under the name IMA Schelling Polska Automation in the future.
