The latest statistics on European wood-based panel industry production output will be presented by the European Panel Federation (EPF) at Interzum, Cologne.
The EPF’s initial 2024 European panel industry stats are a respected source of data giving insight into the health and trajectory of the European wood-based panels sector. New EPF managing director Matti Rantanen will also share EPF thoughts on 2025 business prospects.
A number of other presentations will also be made at the EPF press conference, including Clive Pinnington, EPF current managing director, presenting a new EPF policy paper on Strategic Wood Availability.
Mr Pinnington and Kris Wijnendaele, EPF Technical director, will also give an update on EPF advocacy, including strategy, alliances and the low carbon message.
Mr Wijnendaele will share the interim results of the EU Horizon projects EcoReFibre and CISUFLO.
Matti Rantanen officially started as new EPF managing director on May 5. His appointment comes at a crucial time as the EU’s focus on competitiveness and the green transition continues to shape the wood-based panels / construction industries.
