Elixrr Industries Pvt Ltd has reached a milestone by producing its first MDF boards on a new Siempelkamp line in Madhya Pradesh, India.
The producer marked its entrance into MDF production with a first board ceremony on August 16. Elixrr has previously been only focused on production of non-woven fabrics.
The MDF-plant features an 8ft x 33.8m Siempelkamp ContiRoll Generation 9, designed to produce approximately 1,000m³ of MDF boards per day.
It is the fifth plant of its kind in the Indian market in terms of press length and capacity.
The plant also introduces the mat pre-heater Contitherm Neo and Siempelkamp’s cut-to-size technology for the first time with a Siempelkamp book saw. In addition, a chipping line will be introduced to the Indian market with a feeding system consisting of a combination out of sturdy chain conveyors as well as flat belt conveyors.
The heart of the chipping line is a drum chipper – the sort that it is running in many wood-based panel plants worldwide. All available new design features are implemented for the first time.
The greenfield project also incorporates benchmark technology in the area of digitalization. An AI-based closed-loop solution uses AI methods to increase press performance, ensure board quality and reduce production costs at the same time.
Elxirr’s focus is on advanced technology, large-scale production capacity, and a focus on premium and specialty products to sell into the furniture, interior design, and construction industries.
