Wood-based panels plant supplier Dieffenbacher has expanded its Thailand site and recruited more staff as it seeks to better serve the important market in Southeast Asia.

The company opened a spare parts warehouse in Bangkok in 2020, with the facility now significantly expanded with the addition of a new office and more local employees to serve the needs of customers.

“Thailand has always been an important market for us,” explains Ralf Schmidt, head of global lifetime service wood & recycling at Dieffenbacher.

“We’re reflecting this by extending our range of services, particularly our Lifetime Service, to support our customers’ plant operations, but also through commissioning, modernization, consulting, audits and spare parts supply.”

The expanded Dieffenbacher team for Thailand includes two technologists, two electricians, a mechanic and an administrative employee.

Dieffenbacher TH Ltd. is a subsidiary of Dieffenbacher Asia Pacific SDN BHD, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Andy Müller, managing director of Dieffenbacher Asia Pacific, said the investments were a clear signal of our long-term commitment to customers.

“For us, business relationships don’t end with the sale of a new plant or machine,” he said. “That’s just the beginning, and they grow stronger with every new service and modernization project.”
