Pine sawnwood exports increased 35% in value in April 2014 compared to April 2013, from US$14m to US$18.9m. In terms of volume, exports rose 27.8%, from 64,400m3 to 82,300m3 over the same period.

Tropical sawnwood exports increased 6.9% in volume, from 26,200m3 in April 2013 to 28,000m3 in April 2014. In value, exports increased 3.6% from US$14m to US$14.5m over the same period.

Pine plywood exports expanded 4.4% in value in April 2014 compared to April 2013, from US$36.4m to US$38m. The volume of exports increased 6.6%, from 95,900m3 to 102,200m3, during the same period.

On the other hand, tropical plywood exports fell 17% from 4,100m3 in April 2013 to 3,400m3 in April 2014. In terms of value, tropical plywood exports fell 16%, from US$2.5m in April 2013 to US$2.1m in April 2014.
