Brazil wood product exports fell 4.6% in August

Pine plywood exports expanded 8.6% in value in August 2013 compared to August 2012, from US$30.4m to US$33m. In terms of volume, exports increased 11.4% from 82,200m3 to 91,600m3.

Tropical plywood exports were disappointing falling 7% in volume, from 5,700m3 in August 2012 to 5,300m3 in August 2013.

In value, tropical plywood exports fell16%, from US$3.7m in August 2012 to US$3.1m in August 2013.
