Daltons Wadkin is to sell a range of equipment carrying the Wadkin badge that is manufactured for the company in the Czech Republic.
The UK Nottingham-based company said it is the first step towards re-establishing a broad range of Wadkin-approved products to fill gaps left by the disappearance of many machines after Wadkin went into administration in 2009.
Daltons which bought the intellectual property of Wadkin and manufactures original classic machines, said it is a natural step to enhance the range with high quality machines made in Europe.
“We would not even consider using the Wadkin name on any machine which did not meet the highest standards, said director Francis Dalton. He added that all Wadkin-branded machines, wherever they were made, would carry a full, two-year warranty.
Among the machines added to the European portfolio are a range of wide belt sanders, surface planing, thicknessing and planing/thicknessing machines and a template maker.
The company hopes shortly to add additional spindle moulders, CNC equipment, planing and moulding machines, and edge banders.
