Unilin Panels has achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified Full Scope Bronze V4.0 for its complete range of raw boards and melamine-faced MDF, including Clicwall.
Unilin described it as a major step forward for Unilin’s panels division. Until now, MDF had only been certified for material health. Now the range also meets the strict requirements in the other Cradle to Cradle Certified categories: product circularity, social fairness, water and soil stewardship, and clean air and climate protection.
Cradle to Cradle Certified is regarded as one of the world’s most demanding independently verified sustainability standards. The certification assesses not only a product’s composition and safety, but also its broader environmental and social impact.
The programme works with four certification levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
