The company’s wood based panel division totalled orders of €300m. Although the first half of the year was weak, with no significant projects put out to tender, the second half of the year was much stronger, and Dieffenbacher was successful in its bids for a considerable amount of the work available on the market.
Both of the wood product plant contracts put out to tender in Europe in 2012 were awarded to Dieffenbacher, and in total the company won 11 orders for continuous press plants.
Dieffenbacher is also carrying out several larger-scale modernisation and modification projects on wood based panel plants, and the company recorded significant increases in orders for modifications, modernisations, spare parts and services in general.
Although the product is still relatively new to the market, one additional pellet plant order in 2012 brought the total number of industrial pellet plants up to three.
