Stora Enso has invested €5m to further develop its ThermoWood, cross-laminated timber and finger-jointing operations.
The company’s Uimaharju mill in Finland will facilitate Stora Enso’s entry into the pine ThermoWood business, while manufacturing is also being upgraded to improve the overall ThermoWood process at Uimaharju.
Kiln chambers and a boiler formerly at the Kotka mill, which previously produced ThermoWood products, have been relocated to Uimaharju.
