SmartPly Europe is one of ten Irish companies selected to represent Ireland in the 2011 HSBC European Business Awards.
The Waterford-based OSB manufacturer, part of Coillte Panel Products, was recognised for its ability to thrive despite challenging economic conditions, as well as pursuit of growth and outstanding business development.
“We have had a good story to tell as an indigenous Irish business recovering from a steep downturn in the Irish construction sector,said Gerry Britchfield, managing director of Coillte Panel Products.
SmartPly will shortly take part in the European stage of the programme, where it will be appraised by a judging panel which gives the company advice and feedback.
A gala awards ceremony will take place in Barcelona during November.
