Daniel Bacic is to take over management of Siempelkamp Bangkok office as the German plant and machine maker seeks to intensify its presence in Asia.

Siempelkamp says the Bangkok office, which opened in 2024, aims to strengthen longstanding and successful relationships with customers in the region. Mr Bacic will assume the position in January 2026 and will look to expand customer contacts in this important market.

The Italian citizen has been active in the woodworking industry since 1998. He has been working for the Siempelkamp Group since 2010 and has established himself in the Asian Market as Branch Manager of the Kuala Lumpur office for the last eight years. From Malaysia, he managed all the Siempelkamp installation and service departments for the Southeast Asia region.

In 1989, Siempelkamp set up its Southeast Asian headquarters in Singapore, followed by a branch office in Kuala Lumpur in 2007. Since 2024, two employees have been working at the third location in Bangkok.

The opening of the Bangkok office underlines the importance of the Thai market to Siempelkamp. Since recording its first sales success in the local wood-based panel industry in 1980 with a single opening press, it now has more than 22 ContiRoll in the country.
