Particleboard shipments increased nearly 3% to 272 million ft2 compared to 264 million ft2 in January 2016. MDF shipments increased 4.8% to 192 million ft2 compared to 183 million ft2 the same month one year ago.
Shipments start off ahead of 2016
North American shipments of particleboard and MDF started the year up 3.7% to 464 million ft2 (3/4in basis) compared to 447 million ft2 in January 2016 according to an Industry Snapshot Report from the Composite Panels Association (CPA).
