Strongest growth was seen in the impregnation field, but printing and foil operations also underwent a positive development.
In 2013 the Thansau, Germany-based decor paper printer processed also 1.5 thousand millions square metres of paper, thus strengthening its position as global market leader still further.
At €63m altogether, Schatttdecor’s investments were significantly higher in 2013 than in 2012, when they amounted to €43m, and mainly concerned the acquisition of Coveright Surfaces in Brazil, expansion of foil production capacity in Glucholazy, Poland, and extensions to the plant in Tyumen, Russia.
In the current fiscal year the decor paper printer is intending to enlarge impregnation capacity in Brazil and at its plant in Rosate, Italy.
