SAIB orders a 85-t dryer from Büttner
13 February 2020Italian company SAIB has ordered a new type-R drum dryer from Büttner for its site at Caorso, Piacenza.
SAIB specialises in manufacturing particle boards from recycled wood destined for the furniture trade. The use of recycled wood demands special requirements from the drying process, in particular wear protection, removal of foreign substances and other emissions.
Büttner will supply a single-path type-R drum dryer with a flake throughput of up to 85 t/h together with a special combustion chamber and sand separation chamber. Büttner will also supply an emission-optimized type BCB multi-fuel burner to deal with dust and gas as well as other components.
