Oregon-based Roseburg Forest Products has entered into an agreement with Flakeboard to acquire its Simsboro, Louisiana, particleboard manufacturing and laminating facility.

Roseburg said the company expected the transaction to complete this month (July).

Roseburg’s ceo and president Allyn Ford said the deal would give his company “one of the most modern continuous presses in the US. This unique opportunity will fill a gap in our product line, allowing us to better meet the current and emerging needs of our composite customers.”

Based in Dillard, Oregon, Roseburg is a family-owned manufacturer of engineered wood products, lumber, plywood, particleboard and specialty panels with timberlands in the western US and manufacturing facilities in the western and southern regions.
