Production has resumed at Plum Creek’s MDF plant in Columbia Falls, Montana, which was hit by fire on June 10.

Although production was down for about three weeks, the company continued to supply customers from existing inventory.
The fire, which is thought to have been caused by a mechanical failure, caused around US$8-10m of damage.

Plum Creek has announced it will donate US$15,000 to the fire services that attended the fire.
