MDF shipments were 196 million ft2, an increase of 3.5% compared to August 2015 totals of 189 million ft2 (¾in basis). Year-to-date shipments were 1.483 million ft2, down 0.6% for the first eight months of the year compared to 1.492 million ft2 for the same period in 2015.
Particleboard shipments were 306 million ft2, 4.6% ahead of August 2015 totals of 292 million ft2 (¾in basis). Year-to-date shipments were 0.4% behind 2015 at 2.275 million ft2.
