The first board has been produced from the Siempelkamp short-cycle KT 700 press which the EGGER Group ordered to be installed at the Rambervillers, production site.

EGGER was already operating one KT 700 at Rambervillers and two at its site at St. Johann. The new KT plant was ordered as a replacement for an older short-cycle press built in 1993. The delivery included a multi-piston short-cycle press (KT 700) with raw board and finished board handling. It offers 180 pressings per hour of boards up to 2,200 x 5,700 mm.

As the latest KT 700 installation replaced a previous unit special requirements had to be taken into account when planning the integration into an existing plant and production line. With the newly delivered short-cycle press EGGER is expanding its product range at the Rambervillers location which has been part of the EGGER Group since 2000. The site employs 400 people and produces raw chipboard and melamine resin-coated boards, cut-to-size panels and finished furniture components.
