Bison has recently signed a contract with Siempelkamp for the supply of a new Contiroll MDF line, to fulfil local demand in dimensions of 4ft x 7-8ft and 6ft x 7-12ft, and thicknesses of 2.5mm to 40mm. This line will be installed at Boksburg together with a 8,000m2/day MFB (melamine faced board) press.

It is anticipated that the first board will be pressed in August 2012 with the existing MDF line to continue to run in the interim.

This is the culmination of the recent restructuring activities in our company, says Bison, which has seen us streamline our product range and consolidate our activities into fewer, larger manufacturing sites with the view of becoming the number one flat sheet manufacturer and upgrader in Africa.
