Wood-based panels plant supplier Siempelkamp announced that the Turkish company had signed orders for two new plants – the continuous OSB plant and a new particleboard plant.
The scope of supply includes a ContiRoll press in the format 4ft x 33.8m, extendable to 45.4m, which replaces an existing plant at the Kutahya location.
The new Siempelkamp plant will support Küpeliler Endustri AS in increasing its board quality and implementing higher plant availability.
The manufacturer’s Westboard OSB brand has been produced for many years for use in the construction and packaging industries.
For its second order, a particleboard line with a ContiRoll in the format 7ft x 23.8m, extendable to 28.8m, will replace a single-level line at the Eskisehir site, which has been in production for 40 years.
The particleboard division was established and continuously expanded back in the 1980s under the company name Suntasan, part of the Küpeliler Group since 2006.
“We are pleased to be able to support Küpeliler's innovative strength with two plant concepts at the same time, especially since we can place a first in the Turkish market with the OSB plant,” said Ulrich Kaiser, head of sales at Siempelkamp.
The two orders bring Siempelkamp’s number of ContiRoll projects in Turkey up to 32 over a period of 27 years.
Küpeliler Endustri AS was founded in 1981 and also has cement and packaging divisions.
