The loss of 90 jobs has now been confirmed at Nangwarry’s plywood mill in Southeastern Australia prompting fears the small surrounding community could become a ‘ghost town’.

Nangwarry was hit hard 10 years ago with the loss of its sawmill and people in the town are now wondering how much longer the remaining 150 jobs at the Carter Holt Harvey plant will last.

Meanwhile, disused shop buildings remain vacant in the town and the South Australian Farmers Fuel service station recently shut its doors indefinitely when SAFF entered administration.
