The logs are imported mainly from the US, Canada, Russia, Australia and Myanmar, reports the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO).

Log imports through Fujian Putian Port in 2013 were 3.15 million tonnes, a year on year increase of 82%, a new record volume.
