Garnica Plywood Group based in La Rioja, Spain, manufacturers of poplar plywood and poplar based panels, will complete its fourth factory based in Banos de Rio Tobia this month (June).
This will complete an investment plan which commenced two years ago.

The state-of the-art plywood factory will cater for plywood sizes that are currently being demanded in panels of 3.10m in length up to widths of 1.83m and 1.85m. In addition to this range there will be 100% okoume, combi okoume as well as combi Ilomba and Fromager, in both Class I and Class III lines.

Garnica Plywood claims that they will be the only Spanish manufacturer able to produce such jumbo sizes.

With a fifth new plant also nearing completion in France, Garnica boasts advanced processes in all its facilities and is financially strong.

In 2008 the group’s sales exceeded 135,000m3 with a turnover of €79m and a workforce of 400 employees.

With the incorporation of these new facilities the Garnica Plywood Group aims to reach a production capacity of 230,000m3 to be released to the market as required or as soon as the global economic situation improves.
