Spanish plywood manufacturer Garnica has officially opened its €12.2m new factory.
The 11,500m2 factory has a production capacity of 60,000m3/year, using poplar and other tropical wood species.
The unvestment will boost the Garnica group’s capacity to 200,000m3/year.
Garnica decided to invest in a new factory because its existing Banos de Rio Tobia facility was located in an urban area which did not allow for any further expansion and the production processes were becoming old.
The new plant has been built on the outskirts of the village, allowing for future developments.
