First continuously produced OSB board in Turkey rolls off production line
9 December 2022Küpeliler Endüstri AS produced the first board on its new OSB line at Kutahya on December 3 and in the process became the first company in Turkey to start OSB production on a continuous line, technology project provider Siempelkamp has announced.
The new OSB line features a ContiRoll press in the 4ft x 33.8m format, extendable to 48.7m.
Küpeliler Endüstri AS places the product primarily in the construction industry, for example, in the form of cladding.
“It was a pleasure to be able to implement this project together and to set a new benchmark in the Turkish market with this premiere," says Ulrich Kaiser, head of sales Wood/New Plants at Siempelkamp.
Today, Küpeliler is involved in multiple business areas – cement, ready-mixed concrete, chipboard & OSB production, packaging, construction and mining.
