With a steady speed of 117m/minute, the first MDF boards with a thickness of 1.5mm have been recently produced at the Grajewo plant of Pfleiderer AG.
This speed surpasses the existing record feed rate of 100m/minute and is therefore claimed as a milestone in the development of very fast thin MDF lines.
Pfleiderer decided to go with Siempelkamp for the design of the plant. Siempelkamp offered a new technical concept for the forming and pressing line and the subsequent cut-to-size and stacking line.
With a feed speed of up to 120m/minute this system ensures customers the highest economic efficiency with an excellent board quality, said Siempelkamp.
