Leading international fire prevention and measurement technology company Fagus-GreCon has announced changes in its leadership team.

The three-member management team change sees shareholders of the Alfeld-based company deciding to reach a mutual agreement with technical managing director Dr Michael Gawronski to part ways. Dr Gawronski is leaving the company with immediate effect.

Mario Haas will become the new third member of the Management Board as of December 1, 2023, focusing on the technical aspects. Mr Haas has already been with the company for four years and will continue his previous responsibilities as head of the Fire Protection business unit.

“The shareholders would like to thank Dr Gawronski for his important achievements and contributions and wish him all the best for the future,” said Stephan Weber, chairman of the Shareholders' Council of Fagus-GreCon.

“At the same time, with the appointment of Mr Haas as the third managing director, we are emphasising the growing importance of the Fire Prevention business unit in our company.” The Measuring Technology business unit, which the company said was developing positively, will continue in its current form.

Uwe Kahmann will remain responsible for all commercial areas of the company and its subsidiaries and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Fagus-Werk. Alexander Kuppe will continue to head the marketing, sales, after sales and service departments.

“We are convinced that we are even better positioned in this constellation to continue the success story of Fagus-GreCon, to further improve our internal processes with our global teams, to increasingly introduce our customer-oriented, technologically leading product and service innovations worldwide and to expand our market share continuously,” emphasised Mr Kahmann.
