Brazilian panels giant Duratex SA is due to expand its Durafloor brand wood flooring operations with an US$18m plan to install a new laminate flooring and coating line in 2011.
With overall annual capacity of 3.9 million m3, Duratex is also debottlenecking and ramping up production of the 700,000m3/year medium density particleboard line at its southern Taquari mill in Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul state.
The plant is expected to unveil the gradual increase in output over the coming months and is due to reach full capacity by 2013.
