Donglin Wood Products Company Ltd is building a 70,000m3/year capacity plywood mill in China’s Guangxi Autonomous Region, according to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO).

The plywood mill in Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, is expected to consume more than 100,000m3/year of eucalyptus timber. So far, 20,000m2 of workshop, 3,000m2 of worker dormitory and 1,000m2 of office building have been constructed at the site, ITTO reported in October.

The mill’s annual output value will be around RMB200m (US$30m) and it is expected to create 1,200 jobs along with generating RMB20m/year in tax revenues for the local government.

Donglin Wood Products was established in 2000. Its annual plywood output in 2009 was 70,000m3.
