Dieffenbacher is restructuring its Wood business unit in Latin America by relocating its subsidiary in Brazil from Curitiba about 200 km south to Itajaí.

The new managing director of Dieffenbacher do Brasil will be Diego Coelho de Oliveira, who was previously area sales director for the region and will retain this position.

“We’re strengthening our presence in Latin America,” says Ralf Schmidt, Head of Global Lifetime Service Wood & Recycling at Dieffenbacher.

“By relocating our office to Itajaí, we can speed up customer service, strengthen our partnership with customers in Latin America and meet their requirements even better,” he added.

“We now have six people on site in Latin America. This improves our ability to meet the challenges of the local wood-based panels market,” said Diego Coelho de Oliveira. “Specifically, we have strengthened our team with Thiago Furbino Soares as Head of Lifetime Service Latin America and Ivan Dos Santos Oliveira and Evandro Rodrigo Satyrio da Rocha as Service Technicians. All three already have experience in service in the wood-based panels industry or related industries.

“Together with our Service Technician Bruno de Oliveira, our Technologist Peter Rath and myself, we have an experienced and effective Dieffenbacher team for Latin America.”

The service portfolio of Dieffenbacher do Brasil includes preventive services such as plant inspections and optimizations by the Dieffenbacher Performance Team, individual spare and wear parts packages, inventory consultations, professional training and the digital platform EVORIS. Reactive services include on-site service, remote support via MyDieffenbacher and the online spare parts catalogue MyDieffenbacher Parts.

The new Dieffenbacher Latin America team also handles sales of new plants and single machines as well as modernizations. It will continue to receive support in these areas from INSERCO Industrie Service GmbH in Viersen, Germany, Dieffenbacher’s long-standing sales partner for Latin America.
