Integrated Argentine wood panel and furniture manufacturer Cuyoplacas SA is planning to set up a new 360,000m3/year particleboard plant in northern Argentina.
Cuyoplacas, based in Argentina’s northern province of Mendoza, currently runs an RTA flat pack furniture factory and 100,000m3/year particleboard panel plant in Las Heras, Mendoza.
The new facility, being located in the town of General Lavalle in north western Mendoza province, is reported to be replacing the company’s existing panel plant. But Cuyoplacas is expected to retain its laminates impregnation operation at Las Heras.
Its new plant will feature a particleboard line with Siempelkamp-supplied equipment including a 7ft x 25.2m ContiRoll press.
