The 48th Shanghai International Furniture Fair held in conjunction with the Woodworking Machinery Fair has completed its online exhibition this year after earlier cancelling its physical event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organisers had originally postponed the event to December 11-14, but sent out a further update recently saying the event would be online only and that the next physical edition would be in 2022.

The combination of both CIFF and WMF combines both the upstream and downstream of the furniture manufacturing chain.

The last event in 2019 attracted 448,000 attendees and 6,300 exhibitors, say organisers.

Organisers say digitalization and innovation are driving the post-pandemic era. WMF provides an information exchange platform and advocates the industry to grasp the new demand of domestic market, promote intelligent development and application of the industry.
