According to the International Tropical Timber Organization, the value of exports to all markets increased over 2012. The main export markets were Europe (35%), North America (40%), Asia (23%) and Central and South America (5%).

Most of China’s imports of wood processing machinery were from Europe and Asia, which together accounted for 97% of transactions.

The value of China’s imports of wood based panel machinery from Europe fell by 75% as supplies from Asia and North America rose sharply by 607% and 557% respectively.
