Leading India plywood manufacturer has told the Times of India that it hopes to return to pre-pandemic revenue levels in July.

The interview in the Times of India quoted Century Plywood managing director Sanjay Agarwal as saying the company had experienced good business in June.

The company also received coverage in the newspaper, as well as the Times of Bengal for its new app launched in July which aims to combat the issue of ‘fake’ plywood brands.

An embedded QR code in CenturyPly plywood panels – the first time use of this technology by an Indian plywood manufacturer – will show the date and location of the CenturyPly factory where the plywood was made. Customers using smartphones with the app can scan the plywood to check the product’s authenticity.

Recently, CenturyPly released details on a proposal to establish a further MDF manufacturing facility. Its subsidiary Century Panels Ltd has considered a proposal to set up a new unit in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
