This year, as well as following the usual key themes, there will be presentations in a session dedicated to COST Action FP1303 – Performance of Bio-based Building Materials. Abstracts for quality technical papers following the IPPS and COST FP1303 key themes, are now being called for.

Abstracts can be up to 600 words and must be received by March 31. Successful applicants will present their papers orally in English. (Abstracts to the conference organiser at ipps@bangor.ac.uk)

A review of IPPS 2015 conferences and papers will appear in WBPI as in past years.

The symposiums are organised by the BioComposites Centre, which is based at Bangor University in North Wales. The first symposium took place in Llandudno in 1997.

IPPS is a leading technical conference on wood based panels, including all aspects of panel production technology, feedstocks, resins and additives, market analysis and the use of wood based panels in furniture and construction applications.

The full conference runs every two years and in the intervening year a Master Class allows a focused look at important topics in a more informal learning-friendly environment. www.ipps.uk.com
