The company plans to build a factory producing large format plywood (about 100,000m3/year) parquet flooring boards (2 million m2), and pellets (30,000m3) in Cherepovets, Vologda region. Barlinek Rus intends to invest about €80m in a new production site until 2018. The company will create 500 new jobs.
"We were going to start this project in Cherepovets about 7-8 years ago, but due to the global economic crisis were unable to realise the project. Now our company is determined to finally realise it," said Wojciech Michalowski.
