Construction has started on a €100m particleboard and MDF factory in Romania, according to the Balkans Business News.

The plant is being built by Reghin-based Prolemn, which since 1998 has been owned by Turkish wood processing giant Kastamonu Entegre.

The Turkish company first modernised some existing lines in the timber and blockboard factory, installed new plywood lines and extended harvesting and kiln-drying capacity.
