US decision on preliminary antidumping margins on Chinese plywood

The US Department of Commerce has announced its preliminary antidumping margins’ decision on imports of Chinese hardwood plywood into the US, reports the Hardwood Plywood & Veneer Association (HPVA). Nearly all Chinese companies will pay antidumping duties of 57% or higher as well as countervailing duties of 9% or more.

Total duties on Chinese hardwood plywood, going forward, will be more than 60%. Only one company, Chengen, received a 0% antidumping rate.
