Top safety award for Norbord OSB mill
19 May 2015Norbord’s European OSB mill in Genk has won one of Belgium’s top annual safety awards: the Safe Maintenance award.
This Technical Industry Maintenance safe award initiative is associated with the US Department of Labor's Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) campaign on Safe Maintenance and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.
The jury highlighted the Genk team's structured planning and document control for processes such as lock out, fire permits, risk assessments and work orders, as well praising its safety performance and the quality of its own internal safety audits.
