Siempelkamp increases its minority shareholding in Pallmann

Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH has increased its minority shareholding in Pallmann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co KG, headquartered in Zweibrücken, Germany to 45%.

Back in April of 2012 the Krefeld specialist for machine and plant engineering acquired via its subsidiary Siempelkamp Maschinenfabrik Beteiligungs GmbH a qualified minority stake in Pallmann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co KG and Ludwig Pallmann Verwaltungsgesellschaft GmbH. Siempelkamp reently increased this shareholding from 25.1% to 45%.

As the specialist for size reduction and preparation technology Pallmann plays an important part in Siempelkamp's service chain. The machines for size reduction and material preparation for the wood based products industry integrate perfectly into the Siempelkamp range of products for the front-end of the line.

Pallmann also complements the product range of the Siempelkamp Group with the area of recycling technology which the company has specifically developed over many years. The company supplies high-performing recycling machines tailored to the needs of modern recycling plants to produce valuable secondary raw materials.

The professional recycling of residual and waste wood for the marketing and reuse in the wood based products industry or for thermal and energetic use is of great importance. Next to waste wood recycling, Pallmann also researches and develops solutions for the recycling of plastics, flooring and metal material, and used tires.
