New regional show, furniPRO, to be held in Singapore
11 July 2012This year sees the first edition of a new exhibition for the furniture and woodworking industries in Asia.
Called furniPRO Asia, the show will take place on 17-19 October 2012 in Singapore Expo, Hall 2, featuring country pavilions from Germany, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and the US.
International panel machinery manufacturers such as Biesse, IMA, Imal-Pal, Sandvik, Schelling, Siempelkamp, Wemhöner and GET srl (representing Globus, EMG, Imeas and Trasmec) have booked space as exhibitors for this first event.
The show is organised by Kölnmesse, which also organises the Interzum exhibitions, and it is planned to make it a biennial event.
A previous biennial Singapore show was WoodmacAsia, last held in 2003. Liked by the panel machinery companies, it was killed off by removal of the support of Eumabois.
