Dieffenbacher has given Metalube’s Metachain range of wood panel press lubricants official approval for use in its press systems.

The UK-based manufacturer described the formal recognition for Metachain in Dieffenbacher’s manuals as exciting news.

Douglas Hunt, Metalube commercial director, said the range did not compete with any other lubricant as it uses new technology that had undergone stringent testing over a number of years on various Dieffenbacher machines globally.

Mr Hunt said one wood-based panels manufacturer that had tested Metachain CB100/200 on continuous presses over four years had achieved savings equating to £60,000 annually in avoided maintenance and a 2% increase in output and plant efficiency.

The Metachain range has been formulated using the latest synthetic base oils, antioxidants and anti-wear additives to meet the specific demands of chain applications in high-temperature processes.

Metalube is part of the Bishopdale Group, a private holding company for a group of industrial lubricants brands – Metalube, Molyslip and UOP.

The company exports 95% of its production to over 90 countries worldwide and has offices in Manchester, Dubai, Mumbai, São Paulo and Shanghai.

The Manchester location has a fully integrated lubricant manufacturing facility, including new state-of-the-art laboratories.
