IPPS 2015 provisional programme
21 May 2015The International Panel Products Symposium is considered the leading technical conference on wood based panels, including all aspects of panel production technology, feedstocks, resins and additives, market analysis and the use of wood based panels in furniture and construction applications.
A full conference runs every two years, and in the intervening year a Master Class allows a focused look at important topics in a more informal learning-friendly environment.
IPPS 2015 will be taking place in October 7 and 8 at Cymy, Llandudno, North Wales, and the provisional programme is available on www.bc.bangor.ac.uk.
Speakers from around the world will be presenting results of their current research on Fundamental characterisation; Resins and additives; Feedstocks, recycling and waste materials; and Durability.
A session will be dedicated to Cost Action FP1303 - Performance of bio-based building materials.
This year the BioComposites Centre and Kronospan are launching a new scholarship fund to commemorate the life of Dr Harry Earl who had a successful career in the wood panel sector culminating with the position of technical manager at Kronospan's mill in Chirk.
